Fuel Lines and Fittings

Upgrading fuel lines can increase horsepower and performance and improve fuel economy. When you modify your engine to increase airflow, you need to upgrade the fuel system to match.

Fuel line diameter is important. A larger diameter is generally better, but the correct diameter is the best choice. If the diameter is too small, you won't be able to support your horsepower goal. If the diameter is too big, the lines will take longer to pressurize.

Fuel lines can also become blocked, which can cause smoke to appear inside the vehicle. This is dangerous because the smoke contains carbon monoxide. Clogged fuel lines can also prevent your car from starting.

Fuel lines and fittings are crucial to a vehicle’s fuel delivery system, ensuring fuel is transported from the tank to the engine efficiently and safely. Fuel lines, typically made of high-pressure rubber or steel, are designed for high-performance use.

Fittings connect the fuel lines to the engine and fuel tank and come in various sizes and materials. Proper care and maintenance of these components are essential for the longevity and performance of a vehicle’s fuel system; regular inspections and replacements are recommended for optimal operation.
